Located in beautiful Plattsburgh, Trinity Episcopal Church was organized in 1821. For more than 150 years, the Sanctuary of Trinity Episcopal Church, designed by architect Joseph A. Miller, has stood the test of time. Trinity Church was built on Church Square in 1762. We are proud of our church, both the small Gothic Revival building, and the community who have built, loved and shared that building for over 150 years of serving Our Lord. Trinity is established as an Episcopal parish. In early 1958 plans for expanding Trinity's church buildings and for a new Parish House moved steadily forward. The congregation met in various locations until 1862 when the Parish acquired the former Athenaeum building and used it as a church until the completion of the present Church, which was first used for services on October 1, 1871. The new Church was constructed on lot 7 and 8 of Block 62, purchased from Samuel M. Ballard and Sarah J. Ballard on August 13, 1868. The purpose of this ministry is to better serve the Claremont community through outreach and mission. In September of 2015 Trinity Episcopal Church and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church joined together to begin a joint ministry in downtown Claremont.
